TRD for Toys and Why I do Toy Photography

It all started way back when….

Toy photography for me has been a creative outlet that merges my love of pop culture, nostalgia, and my love of photography. It started playing around with a couple of lego minifigures for a Star Wars project that my kids had around the house, and it’s grown into my favorite past time.

One of the best things about doing toy photography is the nostalgia of things I had or wanted as a kid, and it’s made it “Ok” to go back and collect those things. I love the aspect that I get to try to bring some of these things to life.

Soon after starting to photograph Funko Pops, I was found by a large community of fellow pop collectors and photographers on IG who welcomed me into their community with open arms and it’s been so amazing to get to be part of that and meet so many amazing people.
